Holiday

The holidays are here and I've been calling places that can potentially be my 2nd job. I've been looking at a job as delivering newspapers but I have read numerous comments about how it can be a tough job due to the lack of days off. You are working as an independent contractor and you work for yourself. It sounds great and yeah I would be down to do it but then again I don't think I'd be able to get any days off which is a problem since I travel a lot or like to. So that's a problem... but anyway I'm looking at working at a grocery store part time as well, I just really want to deliver things like I used to back at Pizza Hut but with better hours. Anyway no one is going to be hiring until the new year so I will wait until then. Oh yeah, the video isn't working down there because I deleted it and uploaded a new one, I'll post it soon.

Glasses

As I head into the last few days of this week, Finals Week is right around the corner. I am currently doing a midterm review for my political science class tomorrow and my eyes are killing me. There is something about my house lights that is hurting my ability to read. I need to go to the school library and study or something because florescent lighting is awesome. So tired and lazy lately, I haven't gone to the gym in the past two weeks which I pay good money for, Christmas is almost here and I've got to think of a game plan. I need new glasses man, I'm still searching for the name of these frames I want that Micheal Cain used to wear back in his younger years. Anyway, I'm keeping this short since I have to get back to studying although there is some good news, my Monster Cable is coming in tomorrow, excited. Now all i need to buy is a pack of tapes then hopefully a Burton backpack for my camera so I can take it up to Big Bear. I've got someone working on getting me Sony Vegas Pro so I hope that goes through, it'd be great to have a new editing software to edit in 24p. I'm off to study but before I go here is something for someone's viewing pleasure... amazing performance by the Earth Wind and Fire band. I still think it sucks balls that Maurice White has Parkinson's, he was such a great performer but anyway here it is...

I'll be there

So what is on my mind today... I have had the Jackson 5 - I'll be there song stuck in my head. I never took the time to listen to the whole thing, I knew it wasthe original song but I did not know it was SO GOOD. It was at Yogurtland at about7 -8 am while I was opening the store up, preparing the yogurt machines that thissong came on. The radio was on Hot 92.3 Old Schools, which is an awesome stationthat I always listen to during work. The song came on and it was so good, the way Micheal sings it sounds better then the remake, it is just something to it, his singingprobably.

Moving on, so I finally took the time to purchase my Monster Firewire. I decided to just order it online from B&H because no one carries that brand around here, retarded. So it will be coming in on Friday... the only bad thing about ordering online is, that you have to wait for it to be shipped to your lovely home. At least there is something to look forward to at the end of the week other than the drag of going to work. So that is done, I just recently found the tapes that is being used for my DVX which makes me happy. I also found it on B&H and hopefully be buying a bunch soon, sucks they only sell it individually but thats fine too.

Finals week is almost here and I'm not really worried about it. I just have to study and do well on them so I can get those good grades. This weekend has been such a drag, I think it was the work schedule I had on Friday, it was real boring. I just kept finding little things here and there to do to keep myself busy until it was time to leave. I never do night shifts and I'm glad that was done for. Well I'm off, sick of writing, need some action, Left 4 Dead maybe? I don't know, but before I go here is a video of the Jackson 5 for anyone's viewing pleasure.

Friday Morning

So the weekend is here and it's a Friday morning.
I'm kind of...what is the word, "eh" about today
because my usual Friday schedule at work has been
changed so I am now closing the store. I don't usually
close at all which I resent doing because of my previous
job but I hope time just flies by.

Other than my feeling of uneasiness about work I am
looking forward on being able to start buying things for
my camera. Not only do I work today but I get paid today so
say so long to my remaining balance on my credit card and
say hello to Camera Accessories. I haven't touched my dvx
for over month because I didn't have the cables to be able to
upload footage onto my laptop. Now that I have money and the
decent amount of information on these "firewire cables"
I am ready to start shooting footage again.


So far on my wishlist that I can afford is two Monster Cable Firewires
at 3ft for like $23 on the B&H website but I still need to look around
town for vendors so I don't have to wait around for a one week package. I need two of those which is a fair amount of money and then I need to look for a store that carries the mini-DV tapes that I use. I'm looking to buy in bulk, I just want to stock up on tapes.

Lets see, anything else... oh yeah. I need a firewire hub or some
sort of device that would protect my camera from ESD, which is
Electrostatic Discharge. This means it'll protect your camera from these
"shocks" of power or electricity that would would ruin a device such as the firewire slot
to my precious dvx. Yeah... that is not good at all but
with these cables I'm buying it should be pretty safe with the gold plated
tips and quad protection...etc. Anyway I'm off but before I go I'm just
going to put write out my wish list as a reminder to myself. See ya.

First Post

I always wanted to do something like this, a blog.
I'm not making it so that I could have everyone read
what I have to say, it's more about being able to have a
medium to write on that I can access easily without
having to carry around a journal or something. Not only
I see this as a canvas to write my thoughts on but a way
to get my mind going, its always to good to write things down
whether it be your thoughts, your life, or epiphanies that you
have had during the day.

Anyways I am looking forward to be able to add more to this
blogspot rather than sitting around my house being so unproductive.
I think this can motivate me to do more writing like I have been
in the past. So, more to come soon.
